Product DescriptionThe Japanese kanji characters for “maple” have been a same characters used to etch a word “koyo”, which equates to becoming different of a leaves. Yoshioka-san plays on these difference by illustrating maples leaves only as they have been commencement to spin a bright, firy orange. Although this tapestry has a anniversary motif, it captures a bitter-sweet hint of autumn – nostalgia and courteous thoughtfulness – which can be enjoyed year-round. Each tapestry is hand-painted in Nara, Japan by Yoshioka-san herself.
